Melvin Harper

Kennel Manager

Melvin has been working at Northside for over 30 years. Melvin works in the back taking care of patients, bathing, grooming, feeding, and taking care of all your pet's particularities while they are here with us.

Megan Garner

Receptionist

Megan has worked part time as a receptionist for us since 2012. She has helped each staff memeber learn the front. she is always willing to help you and your pet. She has 6 fur babies Luna (boxer mix), Oreo (cat), and Maddie (cat), Lexie(cat), Gunnar ( Aussie doodle) , and a Hamster. 

Brittany Hardison

Vet Assistant 

Brittany has been working with us since March 2022. She is from Pink Hill NC. She has 2 fur babies named Harley (yorkie) and Binx (cat). She is a MAJOR cow lover! She is a jack of all trades she goes where help is needed. She also helps Dr. Shaver with all of the office needs.

Somer Fulghum

Kennel Assistant 

Somer has been working with us since September 2021. She is from Sandy Bottom NC. She has 6 fur babies named GiGi (German Sheppard), Valli (pitbull), Daemon (cat), Memow (cat), Anakin (cat), JoJo (cat). She is always giving a helping hand. She is most importantly AMAZING with ferral cats and takes very good care of all our boarders every morning.

Alexis Stanley

Vet Assistant 

Alexis has been working with us since June 2022. She is from Sandy Bottom NC. She has 1 fur babies named Gunnar (pitbull). He is a former service dog for Alexis's husband Tyler. She also has a beautiful little girl name Marlee Kate. Marlee Kate comes in our office and helps us out with the printer. Alexis is also a jack of all trades she is right there where ever help is needed.

Isabelle Jones

Receptionist Assistant/Kennel Assistant  

Isabelle has been working with us since Septemeber 2020. She is from Kinston NC. She has 4 fur babies named Safari (cat), Chloe (cat), Crystal (cat), Thumper (bunny). She started out as a voulenteer in the office but we all fell in love with her compassion and work ethic we had to reel her in as a staff memeber. She enjoys horse back riding. She is very kind and always willing to do anything needed for the animls. She is currently trying to create a career as a Veterinary.

Taylor Smith

Receptionist 

Taylor has been working with us since September 2022. She is from Kinston NC. She has 2 fur babies named Shay (Boxer mix), Boots (cat). Both of Taylors animals are family pets. She is in the process of learning all the great things in the whole practice. She is a BIG cat lover. Although she loves all animals cats are the key to her heart.

Millie

Millie is a 13 year old Springer Spaniel. She lives with Dr. Shaver. She barks at everyone to say hello, loves attention, is full of energy, and likes to steal food from any one. She once stole a treat out of the dog catcher's pocket!!!
